Although electronic music has existed for decades, it has only recently become a popular genre. In the past, it was created by avant-garde artists and wasn’t heard much outside of underground clubs and parties. However, electronic music has entered the mainstream, with artists like Daft Punk, Skrillex, and Calvin Harris achieving global success, making the genre one of the most popular in the world, enjoyed by millions of people of all ages.
